The money you raise will change lives
You'll help communities in Africa and Asia work with WaterAid on safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects that not only improve people's health but benefit their education and livelihoods too.
If you had to waste two hours every morning walking and queuing for water you would at least expect the water to be safe. This wasn't the case for Virginia Muando from Costa do Sol, a bairro (or slum) in Mozambique's capital city, Maputo.
The water she struggled to collect every day was far from home and far from clean. So it is no wonder when WaterAid helped her gain access to safe water for the first time she threw a big party with plenty of music and dancing! Virginia says:
I am overexcited to have a tap. When it was installed there was a big celebration. I invited my relatives. We did some dancing. It was sunny, happy day.
